New York Itinerary
There are almost too many historic sites to name in New York State, but here are some of the top picks for RV travelers:
o Washington's Headquarters State Historic Site: Newburgh, located in southern New York State, is home to the estate where George Washington made some of the most important decisions of the Revolutionary War.
o Fort Ticonderoga: On the southwest shore of Lake Champlain, within six-million-acre Adirondack Park, you'll find historic Fort Ticonderoga. Learn how Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys caught the sleeping British Troops off-guard and captured the Fort in 1775. While in upstate New York, plan to camp at Brookwood RV Resort on Lake George.

A truly impressive experience you won't want to miss on your New York Revolutionary War RV Itinerary.
o Saratoga National Historic Park: Don't leave the Hudson Valley without visiting Saratoga NHP. Northwest of Albany, this Park commemorates Saratoga Battlefield, where American troops defeated the British in 1775 and turned the tide of the American Revolution.
Pennsylvania Itinerary
The state of Pennsylvania is also another wise choice for Revolutionary War buffs to visit by RV. Be sure to see Brandywine Battlefield west of Philadelphia, scene of the largest engagement of the Revolutionary War. And what says "American Revolution" better than Valley Forge National Historic Park? One more must-see for RV campers looking for American Revolution history-Historic Philadelphia.
